What is a PC?
It is a computer system that only a few people or small groups use. Microprocessors are a big part of how these computers work, which is why they are also called microcomputers. Personal computers are made with a specific area and job in mind. For instance, home computers and office computers. Small businesses prefer personal computers for their office work in the market. A PC can be a microcomputer, desktop computer, laptop computer, tablet PC, or handheld PC.
A typical personal computer has a central processing unit (CPU) that has the computer’s arithmetic, logic, and control circuitry on an integrated circuit; two types of computer memory, such as Random-Access Memory (RAM) and auxiliary memory, such as a magnetic hard disc or Solid-state drive (SSD) and special optical compact discs, or read-only memory (ROM) discs (CD-ROMs and DVD-ROMs); a Power Supply Unit (PSU), a fan
In the company, PCs are used to do things like accounting, desktop publishing, word processing, and running databases and spreadsheets. At home, PCs are mostly used for multimedia entertainment, such as playing games, getting on the Internet, etc. Even though PCs are designed to be used by one person at a time, they are often linked together to make a network, such as a Local Area Network (LAN).
